We are thrilled to co-create a workshop space, again, for scholars whose work engages, broadly, with rural people and places. After an in-person event in Fall 2022, we rotate in Fall 2023 to a fully online workshop format, maximizing accessibility while continuing plans to gather again in person in future, alternating years.

This year, our Fall 2023 Law and Rurality Workshop will be co-hosted online by Jessica Shoemaker and Anthony Schutz of the Rural Reconciliation Project at the University of Nebraska College of Law and Hannah Haksgaard at the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law.

Submission Deadline: Monday, August 21, 2023

Workshop Date: Friday, November 17, 2023

Full workshop and submission details in this Call for Proposals.

In the meantime, please reach out with any questions or concerns. For further context, information about past workshops can be accessed here (2022) and here (2021).
